Tiger Woods Set for Electrifying Comeback — TGL Season 2 Debut Slated for January!

After 15 long months away from the fairways, Tiger Woods is ready to roar again — and this time, he’s bringing his game indoors. The golf icon will make his highly anticipated return on January 13, leading Jupiter Links Golf Club into battle against New York Golf Club in Season 2 of the TGL, the cutting-edge, tech-powered golf league he co-founded with Rory McIlroy.
The announcement came Monday alongside TGL’s full 15-match schedule, setting the stage for a thrilling new season that blends high-tech visuals, virtual greens, and real-world intensity — all inside a futuristic arena built for golf’s next generation. But one date stands out: March 1, when Woods will go head-to-head with Masters champion Rory McIlroy in TGL’s first-ever primetime Sunday showdown. Expect fireworks as two of golf’s biggest names meet under the lights in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where the 1,500-seat arena is set to buzz with energy.
Jupiter Links will also face Los Angeles Golf Club on January 20 and Atlanta Drive on February 2, as teams of four players rotate lineups with only three competing per match — keeping every shot and strategy fresh. Woods, now 49, hasn’t played competitively since The 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon in July 2024, where he missed the cut before undergoing surgery for a nerve impingement in his lower back. Later that year, he revealed yet another setback — a ruptured left Achilles tendon, repaired in March 2025.
Despite the setbacks, fans could see Woods sooner than expected. There’s talk of him appearing at his own Hero World Challenge (Dec. 4–7) or even teaming up with his son Charlie at the beloved PNC Championship in December.
TGL’s new season tees off December 28 with a blockbuster rematch between defending champions Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club. With the sport evolving into a blend of tech, teamwork, and star power, Tiger’s comeback promises to be more than just a return — it’s the rebirth of a legend in golf’s bold new arena.
